As a TIG Welder Operator, you’ll take ownership of your work from setup through final inspection.
Your day may include:
TIG welding production parts and components
Reading blueprints, routing packages, and setup sheets
Selecting the proper tooling, fixtures, and setup requirements
Setting up and operating welding equipment
Inspecting parts throughout the production process
Making adjustments to keep parts within required tolerances
Checking welds for bead size, penetration, burn‑through, cold starts, and other quality concerns
Using calipers, snap gauges, tape measures, templates, fixtures, and surface plates
Recording production results, scrap, and rework information
Moving completed parts to the next operation using a pallet jack
Assisting with setup sheet updates and new tooling or process trials
Participating in corrective actions and continuous improvement efforts
Following established procedures to maintain repeatable, high‑quality results

Hands‑on TIG welding experience
Ability to read and understand blueprints and production instructions
Experience working from setup sheets, routing instructions, fixtures, and templates
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Ability to read a tape measure and manual calipers
Understanding of fractions, decimals, and basic shop math
Experience using measuring and inspection tools
Manufacturing or production experience
Strong hand‑eye coordination and attention to detail
Ability to identify weld quality issues and make adjustments as needed
Ability to successfully complete a weld test
This is an active manufacturing role. Candidates should be comfortable:
Standing for 8 hours or longer
Bending, twisting, and stooping throughout the shift
Lifting up to 50 lbs.
Working around welding equipment, production machinery, and weld smoke
