Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Completion of a Mac Medical apprenticeship, Welding Certificate, or 2–5 years TIG experience.
  • Experience in medical, food-grade, pharmaceutical, or clean-finish welding environments preferred.
  • Knowledge of welding symbols and fabrication techniques.
  • Basic understanding of design techniques and blueprints.

Responsibilities

  • TIG welding on stainless steel to specification.
  • Fabricate and assemble medical equipment components.
  • Grind, polish, and finish welds to cosmetic and sanitary standards.
  • Inspect welds for accuracy, penetration, and quality.
  • Operate grinders, saws, and hand tools as needed.
  • Plan work orders, gather tools/materials per job instructions.
  • Maintain, organize, and clean equipment/work area.
  • Follow OSHA, safety, and quality procedures.
  • Notify supervisor of faulty equipment or defective materials.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Summary

TIG Welder will be responsible for welding, cutting, and brazing metal pieces and products by using flame‑cutting and hand welding equipment.

Essential Functions
  • Perform TIG welding on stainless steel
  • Fabricate and assemble medical equipment components to specification
  • Grind, polish, and finish welds to cosmetic and sanitary standards
  • Inspect completed welds for accuracy, penetration, and quality
  • Operate fabrication equipment including grinders, saws, and hand tools
  • Plan details of work order procedures; gather required tools and materials based on instructions and specifications provided for the job.
  • Maintain, organize, and clean equipment and the work area.
  • Follow OSHA, company safety, and quality procedures
  • Notify supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Basic understanding of design techniques, principles, and tools necessary for the precise production of technical plans, drawings, models, and blueprints
  • Basic understanding of mathematics as related to welding assignments
  • Knowledge of welding symbols and fabrication techniques
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
  • Strong attention to detail and workmanship
  • Must pass Skill Assessment for Tape Measure and Welding Test
Education and Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Completion of a Mac Medical apprenticeship, Welding Certificate, or 2‑5 years TIG experience
  • Experience in medical, food‑grade, pharmaceutical, or clean‑finish welding environments preferred
