Applicant must be proficient in the field of welding. Previous 3G and 6G certification is preferred. Experience in pressure vessel welding is helpful. Our weld processes include both TIG and MIG welding of heavy copper plate up to 2’ thick and copper forgings. An ideal candidate should have experience welding copper to dissimilar metals such as steel, stainless steel, nickel and aluminum bronze. A candidate should also have familiarity with both the GTAW and GMAW process and have worked with a tungsten control program. We will train on site to develop some of these skills if a person’s weld test shows natural.
