Job summary

Butech Bliss seeks a Night Shift Welder to join our team in Salem, OH. The role includes flux core welding and 3G/3-pass welds, following blueprints and AWS D1.1 standards, with a night shift and a $3,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualified candidates will have at least 3 years of flux core experience, the ability to weld 1/16"-3/32" wires, pass a hands-on weld test, and lift up to 75 pounds. Overtime, Saturdays, and a strong safety ethic are expected.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of three (3) years' experience in flux core arc welding with the ability to weld 1/16" - 3/32" diameter wires.
• Prior experience producing weldments that require multi-pass fillet and/or groove welds.
• Successful completion of a hands-on weld test is required.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 75 pounds.
• Must be able to frequently sit, stand, walk, crouch, bend, reach, push and pull.
• Applicants must be willing to work overtime when available, including Saturday.

Responsibilities

• Arc weld metal components (primarily mild steel) in adherence to AWS D1.1.
• Routinely produce multi-pass groove and fillet welds up to and including the 3G position (flat, horizontal, and vertical)
• Position, align, fit, and weld parts to form complete units or subunits, following blueprints and layout specifications.
• Inspect finished work for conformance to all specifications.
• Make weld repairs to damaged or non-conforming parts including surface build-up or plug welding.
• Engage in other work required for welding processes including oxy-fuel burning, arc gouging, finish grinding, flame straightening, etc.
• Operate hoists or cranes to move and position parts.
• Work at heights as needed.
• Comply with all Butech Bliss safety rules.
• Perform other related duties assigned by supervision.
