Protomet Corporation in Loudon, TN is seeking a TIG Aluminum Welder to join our manufacturing team. The role involves welding aluminum parts with precision and maintaining high quality standards. You will work Monday–Thursday, 7:00 a.m.

to 5:30 p.m., at our Loudon facility, supporting our fixture-based welding process to deliver strong, clean-looking products. Applicants should have aluminum TIG welding experience and be committed to safety, reliability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Aluminum TIG welding experience preferred.
• Ability to set up MIG/TIG welders and optimize settings.
• Strong attention to detail and safety compliance.
• Knowledge of weld procedures and inspection practices.

Responsibilities

• Weld aluminum using TIG to required specifications.
• Set up and adjust TIG/MIG welders for proper penetration and bead quality.
• Maintain weld fixtures and equipment reliability.
• Uphold safety standards and housekeeping in the welding area.

FUNCTION

Welders at Protomet produce beautiful work, delivering products that are strong and clean looking. Our custom weld fixtures ensure you will have all the tools needed to deliver.

OUTCOMES

• 3 Years Aluminum TIG welding experience, is preferred.
• Knowledge and experience applying best weld procedures
• Ability to setup MIG and TIG welders to optimal settings ensuring proper weld penetration;
• Working knowledge of carbon steel, stainless, and aluminum TIG welding;
• General knowledge of maintaining weld equipment
