The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, and current experience in sales engineering. This role involves determining customer requirements, providing technical support, and managing product development processes.

Responsibilities

Auburn Hills, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery (www.movementsearch.com/jobs) is working with a tier-one supplier for the automotive manufacturing industry. Due to recent growth, they have opened a position for a Sales Engineer.

What you will do:

The Sales Engineer acts as the interface between technical staff and OEM Customers. The role involves determining customer requirements for new products, providing technical and commercial support for sales staff, and identifying potential business opportunities. The position includes developing and maintaining product charts for current and future customer programs, monitoring and resolving commercial, timing, and technical issues, and facilitating meetings between the customer and the company. Additionally, the Sales Engineer tracks design release and prototype material requirement dates, collaborates with customer engineers on system and product concepts, and supports launch issues, including attending customer change management meetings for review and approval of product design changes.

What you will need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• Knowledge of 5 Phase, 6S, and lean manufacturing principles
• Current experience in sales engineering
• Experience with APQP documents
