Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Kaizen, Six Sigma, 8D, PFMEA, and APQP methods.
• Ability to read CAD prints and work in fast-paced mass production.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.

AGC Automotive Americas (AANA) is a leading supplier of automotive glazing for the OEM and aftermarket industries and is part of the AGC Group, the largest global glass supplier employing more than 50,000 worldwide in approximately 30 countries.

Engineers and leads all process engineering related activities including process design, support, improvements, and new technology development ensuring safety and environmental requirements and KPI's are met.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direction, coaching, and support to Process Engineers and process stakeholders.
• Direct Process Engineering resources to support production departments and execute process improvement plans.
• Coordinate process, equipment, and tooling development, design, installation, launch, and improvement activities within AGC and the AGC assembly supply chain.
• Perform cost analysis of equipment, tooling, and labor for assembly processes within AGC and/or the supply chain.
• Coordinate VAVE and continuous improvement projects with Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, and Supply Chain.
• Coordinate NML development activities to support process KPI attainment at customer SOP.
• Participate in problem-solving activities related to quality, mechanical, and process concerns, including root cause analysis and countermeasure review.
• Coordinate Engineering GMM activities with Engineers

Education/Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 2-5 years of manufacturing cost analysis experience, with proven leadership skills
• Knowledge of and ability to use problem-solving tools such as Kaizen Spiral, Six Sigma, Fishbone, KT, 8D, or similar methods.
• Understanding of quality systems and TS16949 can be demonstrated.
• Experience with PFMEA, Control Plan, Flow Chart, PPAP, MSA, SPC, PMP, and APQP processes.
• Ability to read and understand CAD prints.
• Experience working in a fast-paced mass production environment.
• Previous involvement in leading or supporting continuous improvement activities.
• Process and equipment/tooling design experience should be described through relevant project examples.
• Analytical thinking and project management skills should be demonstrated through examples of completed work.
• Experience developing and presenting effective solutions to team members and management.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel as required.
