Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Tier II Network Administrator to support the NORAD and NORTHCOM network enterprise solution in Colorado Springs. You will help plan upgrades, harden the digital environment, and operate a dispersed network across North America.

The role requires Cisco IOS, IP routing, LAN/WAN operations, and NSA-type encryption experience. Candidates should have CCNA or Juniper cert, Security+ per DoD 8570/8140, and TS/SCI eligibility. Salary range is $80,001–$120,000 annually.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree + 3 years' experience or 7+ years in network administration.
• CCNA or Juniper Certification.
• Security+ required by DoD 8570 / 8140.
• Top Secret with SCI eligibility.
• Knowledge of Cisco IOS, Juniper JUNOS, Brocade and Foundry OS.
• Inline Network Encrypting technologies familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Familiar with Cisco IOS, IP routing, long haul transport, NSA-type 1 encryption devices.
• Solid technical skills with LAN/WAN protocols, software and hardware.
• Troubleshooting and analytical skills with clear communication.
• Layer 1 and Layer 2 network experience (CAT5, SM/MM Fiber, Serial, SFP).
• Configure and troubleshoot Layer 2 switching (VLANs, Port Security).
