Job summary

SMX is seeking a Tier 3 Unified Communications Engineer to deliver engineering, administration, sustainment, and troubleshooting for UC, VTC, and conference room capabilities supporting classified and unclassified environments. This full-time onsite role in Ft.

Bragg, NC requires secure, reliable collaboration services for government missions. Responsibilities include configuring Cisco/Tandberg codecs, performing Tier 3 fault isolation, and supporting executive VTC sessions.

Qualifications

• 12–15 years of relevant UC/IT experience required.
• Security+ IAT Level II or equivalent.
• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• Experience with Cisco/Tandberg codecs, networking, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, configure, operate, and maintain Cisco/Tandberg VTC and UC systems.
• Provide Tier 3 troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
• Schedule and support executive-level VTC sessions.
• Develop SOPs, conduct site surveys, and recommend improvements.
• Asset accountability, lifecycle management, and system security.
• Support multi-classification VTC environments and bridge operations.
• Train end users and IT staff.

The successful candidate will ensure secure, reliable collaboration services for Government mission operations.

This is a full-time onsite position in Ft. Bragg, NC.

• Engineer, configure, operate, and maintain Cisco/Tandberg VTC and Unified Communications systems.
• Provide Tier 3 troubleshooting, fault isolation, and root-cause analysis.
• Schedule and support executive-level VTC sessions and conference services.
• Develop SOPs, conduct site surveys, and recommend technical improvements.
• Perform asset accountability, lifecycle management, and system security functions.
• Support multi-classification VTC environments and bridge operations.
• Train end users and IT staff on supported capabilities.

Required Skills, Experience & Education

• 12–15 years of relevant experience.
