Job summary

CRB Workforce LLC is seeking a Tier 3 Data Center Engineer for a remote, direct-hire position. You will own and optimize VDI platforms (Horizon/Citrix), address escalations, perform root cause analyses, and partner with clients and internal teams to improve stability and end-user experience.

The role demands strong VMware expertise, hands-on data center engineering experience, and a consultative mindset to identify risks and propose durable improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum seven years of hands-on data center engineering experience.
• Background maintaining large-scale VDI deployments with VMware.
• Proven ownership of Tier 3 escalations across multiple client environments.
• Familiarity with enterprise storage/data protection platforms such as Pure Storage, Isilon, NetApp, Veeam, Rubrik, Cohesity.
• Consultative advisory mindset to evaluate environments, spot gaps and risks, and suggest improvements.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to establish trust with clients.

Responsibilities

• Own VDI platforms (Horizon/Citrix), optimize performance, and scale as needed.
• Serve as senior escalation resource for challenging infrastructure and VDI issues.
• Conduct root cause investigations and propose durable solutions.
• Partner with clients and internal teams to assess environments and deliver recommendations.
• Grow internal VDI capabilities by coaching Tier 2 staff and other support teams.

• A minimum of seven years of hands-on engineering work within data center environments.
• Background maintaining large-scale VDI deployments, along with advanced proficiency in VMware technologies.
• Demonstrated track record of taking ownership of intricate Tier 3 escalations across several client environments, running environment reviews, and steering technical conversations.
• Familiarity with enterprise-grade storage and data protection platforms such as Pure Storage, Isilon, NetApp, Veeam, Rubrik, Cohesity, or comparable solutions.
• A consultative, advisory mindset with the ability to evaluate an environment, spot gaps and risks, clearly communicate findings, and suggest enhancements.
• Excellent interpersonal skills that allow you to establish rapport, credibility, and lasting trust with clients.

Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of VDI platforms (Horizon/Citrix) by supporting, tuning, and ensuring consistent, dependable performance while pinpointing bottlenecks and scaling limitations.
• Serve as the senior escalation resource for challenging infrastructure and VDI problems, addressing performance, availability, and end-user experience concerns.
• Carry out root cause investigations and propose durable, long-term resolutions.
• Partner with clients and internal groups to assess environments, uncover misconfigurations, and deliver recommendations that boost stability and performance.
• Grow internal VDI capabilities by coaching and developing Tier 2 staff and other support teams across virtualization, storage, networking, and disaster recovery.
