Responsibilities

  • System Administration & Maintenance: Monitor, manage, and maintain servers, operating systems, and key applications.
  • Apply patches, updates, and configuration changes to systems in accordance with change management procedures.
  • Perform routine system health checks, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
  • User Support & Troubleshooting: Provide advanced technical support for escalated issues from help desk/Tier 1 teams.
  • Diagnose and resolve system, application, and network-related problems.
  • Assist with user account management, permissions, and access controls.
  • Implementation & Configuration: Install, configure, and deploy new systems, applications, and tools.
  • Assist in system upgrades, migrations, and integrations.
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and standards.
  • Security & Compliance: Ensure systems adhere to security best practices and organizational policies.
  • Help implement and monitor security controls such as antivirus, endpoint protection, firewalls, and access management.
  • Participate in audits, risk assessments, and remediation activities.
  • Monitoring & Reporting: Use monitoring tools to track system performance, availability, and capacity.
  • Respond to alerts, incidents, and outages, performing root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Prepare reports on system health, incidents, and improvements for management.
  • Collaboration & Process Improvement: Collaborate with IT teams (network, security, applications, help desk) on cross-functional initiatives and projects.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of IT processes, standards, and documentation.
  • Provide input on technology selection and system architecture improvements.

Key Responsibilities
