Job summary

Mid-Del Schools in Midwest City, OK is seeking a Tier 2 Paraprofessional to support teachers in daily classroom activities, help implement programs, and prepare educational materials.

The role involves assisting with IEPs, small group work, behavior support, and documenting student progress for parent reports, while maintaining a safe, orderly learning environment. This is a non-exempt, safety-sensitive position within Special Services.

Qualifications

• Have completed at least two years of study at an institution of higher education defined as completion of 48 semester hours of college coursework; or.
• Have obtained an associate's degree (or higher); or.
• Have taken and passed the WorkKeys test or the Oklahoma General Education Test.

Responsibilities

• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to develop appropriate individual educational programs. (IEP)
• Assist students with daily tasks as directed by the teacher.
• Assist teachers with conducting lessons, managing the classroom and developing materials.
• Track student progress during the school year and create reports to let parents understand what their children are learning.
• Communicates with educational and related services staff, and other professionals concerned with the student’s educational progress.
• Work with small group activities.
• Assist students with appropriate behavior.
• Assist teachers in providing those activities that serve to enhance the student’s quality of life. (showering, diaper changing, etc.).
• Assist the teacher with the implementation of individualized educational programs.
• Additional duties that may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.
