Job summary

nou Systems, Inc. in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Tier 2 IT Systems Support Specialist to join a small, hands-on team supporting five offices, remote employees, and a classified lab environment.

You will own escalated issues, administer Linux systems, and assist engineers with toolchains and CI/CD. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in IT, at least 1 year in escalation, US citizenship, and an active Secret clearance or ability to obtain one; Security+ or equivalent certs are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of IT support experience, including at least 1 year in a Tier 2 or escalation role.
• Active Secret security clearance or ability to obtain one.
• Current CompTIA Security+ certification or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• U.S. citizen to be eligible for this position.

Responsibilities

• Serve as escalation point for help desk tickets in ServiceNow; troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware, software, network, and account issues.
• Support Windows and Linux endpoints, Dell hardware, and peripherals; assist onboarding/offboarding and provisioning.
• Troubleshoot identity and access across AD, Entra ID, and Okta MFA; support Microsoft 365 (GCC High) services.
• Write and maintain knowledge base articles; mentor Tier 1 staff.
