Job summary

Greenwood Mills, Inc., a Greenwood, SC textile producer, seeks a motivated Tie Operator to run a tie machine and assist in producing final cloth. You will be shown the area during interview and work the 3rd shift to support weaving operations.

Responsibilities include safely operating weaving machines, tying warp, repairing warps, and assisting with major breakouts while keeping work areas clean. PPE is required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read basic written instructions.
• Must be able to write legibly.
• Must be able to perform simple math.
• Must distinguish colors in stock-in-process and waste.
• Must wear PPE as required (ear plugs, respirator, goggles, etc.).
• Must meet plant schedules and attendance requirements as specified in company policies.

Responsibilities

• Safe operation of weaving machines.
• Tie warp with tie-in machine and un-rack warp after tying.
• Repair warped sections to avoid reties.
• Assist weavers with major breakouts when time allows.
• Carry waste and clamps to proper container.
• Keep tie-in machine and rack clean.
