Job summary

Shineforth Internship program at Tidewater Regional Center in Virginia Beach offers hands-on experience in program support and administration. Interns shadow staff, participate in meetings, assist with filing and data entry, and contribute to client services under supervision.

SUMMARY

Interns for the agency support programs or support functions. In each intern role, the duties and expectations will be dependent upon the program or support function needs. Responsibilities can include administrative tasks, case shadowing, attending meetings, doing home visits, etc. All interns will be primarily supported by a supervisor and by other team members as appropriate.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Community Based Program includes Family Stabilization, ICC

• Shadow staff
• Write contact notes
• Participate in all meetings with staff
• Facilitate session, groups, etc. as appropriate and with a Shineforth staff member

Expectations of Interns

• Work independently and within a team on ongoing and special projects.
• Assist with filing and data entry.
• Attend required staff meetings.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.
