Fanatics Betting and Gaming is seeking a proactive sportsbook cashier to deliver exceptional customer service at our Fanatics Sportsbook locations. You will handle wagers, payments, and cash handling while maintaining accurate records and compliance with regulations.

Applicants should be comfortable in a fast-paced environment, possess strong communication skills, and be able to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide the highest level of customer service and convert customers into regular guests.
• Write, verify, and process payments on sports wagers per policy and applicable regulations.
• Maintain a cash bank and ensure correct change.
• Stock stations with supplies and keep areas neat and clean.
• Explain wagering rules, lines, and odds to guests.
• Assist guests with information and direct them for more details as needed.
• Greet guests in a friendly manner and escalate issues when necessary.
• Adhere to MD Lottery and Fanatics rules and maintain documentation as required.

About the Team

Launched in 2021, Fanatics Betting and Gaming is the online and retail sports betting subsidiary of Fanatics, a global digital sports platform. The Fanatics Sportsbook is available to 95% of the addressable online sports bettor market in the U.S. Fanatics Casino is currently available online in Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Fanatics Betting and Gaming operates twenty-two retail sports betting locations, including the only sportsbook inside an NFL stadium at Northwest Stadium. Fanatics Betting and Gaming is headquartered in New York with offices in Denver, Leeds and Dublin.

Responsibilities

• Provide the highest level of customer service, ensuring that all customers feel comfortable and become regular guests at Fanatics Sportsbook.
• Write, verify, and make payments on tickets for sports wagers in accordance with department policy and procedures and ensures compliance to applicable jurisdictional gaming statutes and regulations
• Maintain a cash bank for his/her shift, responsible for accepting payment and making correct change when necessary
• Stock sportsbook Writer/Cashier's stations with adequate supplies; keeps all stations neat and clean
• Write Sports tickets in an accurate and timely manner
• Make payments on winning tickets in an accurate and timely manner; verify tickets and payoffs
• Maintain and reconcile bank for assigned shift, following established cash-handling policies and procedures
• Explain wagering rules, including betting lines and odds, and procedures to guests
• Provide information and assistance to customers in a friendly, courteous manner to ensure the delivery of guest service. Offer information on activities, etc., and direct guests for further information as necessary
• Greet guests in a positive, friendly manner
• Notify management of escalated or prevalent guest issues/concerns and any apparent suspicious activity
• Adhere to all rules and regulations set forth by MD Lottery and Fanatics.
• Become familiar with entire bet offering and be able to answer questions about the offering with confidence.
• Work to resolve customer disputes/complaints and elevate to direct supervisor when needed
• Have a positive attitude that helps ensure a great work environment
• Ensure that all necessary paperwork/documentation is filled out accordingly to company policy
• Other duties as assigned
