Job summary

Fanatics Betting & Gaming is seeking a Software Engineer II, Back End (Payments & Wallet) to design, develop, and optimize the backend foundations powering deposits, withdrawals, wallet management, bet placement, and settlements.

You will work on critical services and payment provider integrations, combining high performance with security and reliability in a fast-growing, regulated environment in New York.

Qualifications

• 2-6 years of OO development experience building & deploying scalable, high-performance applications, Java preferred.
• Experience with Spring Boot Microservices framework and JPA is preferred.
• Familiar with AWS and/or GCP, distributed caching and message-oriented middleware like Kafka.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a stable and reliable backend for payments and wallet services aligned with roadmaps.
• Evaluate new technologies and open sources to improve applications and systems.
• Build highly scalable, fault-tolerant systems in a regulated production environment.
• Collaborate with PM, Design, DevOps, Security, and Front-end engineers to drive outcomes.
