POSITION SUMMARY:

Under direction, plans, organizes and supervises the work of the Associated Students Ticket office; monitors and controls tickets and cash received; provides information about campus events, and performs related work as required.

POSITION DUTIES:

Oversees daily sales activity of the Ticket Office.

Hires, trains, schedules, evaluates performance, and supervises student staff. Manages student staff hours/schedules and payroll reporting.

Responsible for event settlement, including balancing, reconciling, reporting and recordkeeping.

Oversees off-site event ticket sales.

Consults with campus departments and organizations regarding effective marketing and ticket sales management.

Other duties as assigned.

ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (business, hospitality, etc.) is preferred.

Experience:

  • Previous experience in ticket sales, customer service, or related roles.
  • Prior experience in a supervisory role is required.
  • Familiarity with ticketing system such as Audience View is preferred.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Ability to handle customer inquiries, resolve issues, and provide customer service.
  • Thorough knowledge of receiving, disbursing, and receipting money.
  • Ability to train and supervise student employees to ensure efficient operation.
  • Ability to assist the Ticket Office Manager in ticket office operations.
  • Ability to review and monitor detailed monetary activities with accuracy.
  • Ability to balance a cash register and operate office equipment.
  • Ability to use computers and various software including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to make arithmetic calculations with speed and accuracy.
  • Ability to work a variable schedule including nights and weekends
Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule

This position is employed through Associated Students (AS). AS offers an excellent benefits package including Medical, Dental & Vision insurance, Life Insurance, Vacation, Sick Leave, 14 paid Holidays, company sponsored retirement program and more.

The range of the position is $21.12 - $31.68 per hour. The anticipated hiring range: $21.12 - $31.68 per hour, dependent upon qualifications and experience.

HOURS: Full-Time, Non-Exempt at 40 hours per week; schedule is generally Monday – Friday during business hours but periodically varies to accommodate working evening and weekend events.
