Job summary

The Gordon Highlander Corporation is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead on-site field operations for commercial TI projects in Austin, TX. This role focuses on safety, schedule, budget, and quality while coordinating subcontractors and maintaining client relationships.

You will develop plans, supervise teams, review drawings, and ensure compliance with codes and company standards. A servant-leader mindset and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial construction field supervision.
• Experience in tenant improvements / corporate interiors.
• Strong knowledge of means and methods, scheduling, and site logistics.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Proficient with construction drawings and contract documents.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and stakeholders.
• OSHA safety knowledge and site safety management.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site construction activities ensuring safety, schedule, budget, and quality.
• Develop and communicate project schedules and milestones.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel.
• Monitor progress and resolve field issues and delays.
• Conduct regular site inspections for safety and quality compliance.
• Lead project, subcontractor, and safety meetings.
• Review drawings and specs to identify challenges.
• Maintain project documentation and reporting.
• Communicate status, risks, and solutions to clients and stakeholders.
• Foster client relationships with proactive service.
• Support cross-functional collaboration across teams.
