Job summary

Sol-Ark is seeking a skilled Firmware Engineer to design and develop real-time control firmware for our TI C2000-based power inverters at our Allen, Texas office. You will write high-performance C/C++ code and collaborate with hardware engineers to implement advanced control loops and ensure system reliability.

Responsibilities include developing firmware for TI C2000 (F2837x, F28004x, F2838x), configuring peripherals, and building drivers for CAN, SPI, I2C, UART.

Qualifications

• 3+ years embedded firmware development for power electronics.
• Proficient TI C2000 MCU programming using CCS and C2000Ware.
• Deep understanding of power inverter operations and digital control.
• Experience with parallel processing in C/C++ for real-time systems.

Responsibilities

• Firmware development for TI C2000 microcontrollers, optimizing performance.
• Implement real-time digital control loops for power inverter topologies.
• Configure C2000 peripherals such as ePWM, ADC, eCAP, eQEP.
• Develop low-level drivers for CAN, SPI, I2C and UART interfaces.
• Test and debug with JTAG, oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
• Implement safety and fault protection for hardware.
