Job summary

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of hands-on centerless grinding setup experience; thru-feed grinding required.
• Ability to hand-feed continuous column of parts at a constant thru-feed rate.
• Diagnose and correct through-feed geometry, surface, and feed issues such as chatter and taper.

Responsibilities

• Set up thru-feed centerless grinders on short or long run work to exacting spec.
• Manually feed parts at steady rate to maintain thru-feed; avoid gaps.
• Mount, balance and dress wheels; replace worn tooling.
• Inspect using micrometers, OD gauges and other gages; review calibration.
