Job summary

NHB Bearings Inc. seeks a skilled centerless grinding setup technician to efficiently set up and operate thru-feed grinders, ensuring bearing components meet exact dimensions and finish specs.

You will own the setup from first piece through production runs and support the side lap and centerless departments. Required are 3+ years in centerless grinding setup, ability to feed parts steadily, diagnose grind issues, and train operators.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of hands-on centerless grinding setup experience.
• Experience thru-feed grinding and precise setup.
• Ability to read blueprints and apply GD&T.
• Able to train operators and maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Set up thru-feed centerless grinders for short or long runs to exact size and finish.
• Maintain through-feed rate and end-to-end part alignment.
• Adjust wheels, replace tooling, and balance equipment.
• Inspect parts with micrometers, verniers, and optical gauges.
• Troubleshoot chatter, burn, lobing, and size drift.
• Document setup parameters for repeatable runs.
• Train operators and ensure safety compliance.
