Job summary

Kids for the Future is seeking an Instructional Assistant to support elementary and secondary students under supervision. The role involves assisting with instruction, managing behavior, and helping implement adaptations for students with special needs.

You will work closely with teachers and staff to ensure a safe, engaging learning environment and help with routine classroom tasks and activities.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
• Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information.
• Strong classroom and behavior management support.
• Ability to work with diverse student needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist students in reaching their maximum potential and support independent learning.
• Tutor students in small groups or individually as requested.
• Assist teachers with modifications to curriculum for individual students.
• Assist with data collection and documentation for students.
• Support students during meals, recess, and bus transitions.
• Prepare instructional materials and supervise classroom activities.
