The Salvation Army Grand Forks is seeking a dedicated Thrift Store Assistant Manager to help run daily store operations, support inventory and merchandising, and deliver outstanding customer service. This on-site role at 3401 South 31st Street, Grand Forks, ND 58201 offers growth within a nonprofit thrift environment and collaboration with the Store Manager to achieve fundraising goals.

Compensation starts at $16.50 per hour for a 40-hour week, with opportunities to contribute to community

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• One or more years of retail experience preferred, nonprofit/thrift store experience a plus.
• Must pass background checks and have a valid driver’s license; meet MVR requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily store operations including opening/closing and basic cash handling.
• Oversee inventory flow, pricing, and merchandising of donated items.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a welcoming store environment.
• Support store promotions and merchandising plans.
• Maintain clean, organized store environment and safety standards.
• Greet donors and support community engagement efforts led by the Store Manager.
