Job summary

The Salvation Army in Jackson, MS is seeking a part-time Store Associate to support daily operations at the Family Store. You will handle donations, pricing, stocking, and customer service, ensuring a clean, organized display and accurate cash handling.

Responsibilities include sorting donated items, tagging, assisting customers, ringing up sales, preparing receipts, and helping with opening/closing procedures to create a welcoming shopping experience for all visitors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; retail experience preferred.
• Ability to operate a cash register and handle cash accurately.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive, sort, price, and prepare donated items for display.
• Assist customers with donations, selections, and purchases.
• Operate and balance cash register; process transactions and deposits.
• Maintain neat store and warehouse areas, and assist with stock/display planning.
• Open/close store per schedule and ensure a welcoming environment.
