Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Retail and/or cash register experience preferred, but not required.
• Basic computer skills with ability to access payroll, timekeeping and personal data via a web-based system.
• Good communication skills both written and spoken, and ability to maintain effective working relationships.
• Attention to detail and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves and clothing racks to promote sales.
• Assist management to price items for sale as needed.
• Process merchandise following established standards.
• Stock racks, shelves, counters or tables with merchandise daily.
• Learn and train on the processing system including cash register usage.
• Maintain a clean retail environment including shelves, counters and tables.
• Wrap and bag merchandise for customers when needed.
• Provide polite, prompt, and courteous customer service in line with The Salvation Army mission.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
