The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Clive, IA is seeking a part-time Retail Associate to support daily store operations. You will provide friendly customer service, handle sales transactions at the POS, assist with donations, price merchandise, and help maintain a clean and organized sales floor.

Responsibilities include processing sales, managing cash, and supporting various store tasks as scheduled, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Ability to speak, write, and understand English for effective communication.
• Basic computer skills including POS and payroll programs.
• Ability to accurately handle cash and give change.
• Ability to perform basic math and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service on the sales floor and donation area.
• Operate the Point of Sale system and manage cash drawer in accordance with policies.
• Sort, price, and prepare donated merchandise for sale and eCommerce as needed.
• Maintain clean, organized sales floor and backroom areas.
• Assist donors with donations and provide receipts, following center policy.
