Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Ballwin, MO is seeking a friendly Retail Sales Associate for our upcoming grand opening in September 2026. This part-time role offers 25 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

You will greet customers, operate the register, restock merchandise, keep displays neat, and help create a welcoming shopping experience for donors and shoppers. Training is provided and ongoing coaching is available from store leadership.

Qualifications

• Customer service aptitude with friendly demeanor.
• Reliability and punctuality are essential.
• Basic math and computer skills are needed.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• High school diploma or current pursuit of one.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly, helpful service.
• Operate the register and process sales transactions accurately.
• Open, close, and balance the register as assigned.
• Restock merchandise and keep displays neat and easy to shop.
• Sort, prepare, and move merchandise to the sales floor.
• Keep the store clean, safe, and organized.
• Work with team members to support daily sales and production goals.
