Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Ballwin, MO is hiring a friendly Retail Sales Associate to provide great customer service, operate the register, and help maintain an inviting shopping environment. This part-time role offers 25 hours per week with evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.

You'll restock, clean, and assist donors and customers while working with a team to hit daily sales and production goals. Benefits include voluntary life insurance, 403(b), paid holidays, and days off.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or currently pursuing.
• Friendly, reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Basic math and computer skills.

About the Role

At The Salvation Army Thrift Store, your work helps turn donations into funding for programs that support people in our community. We are looking for a friendly, dependable Retail Sales Associate to provide great customer service, keep the store organized, and help create a welcoming shopping experience for customers and donors.

What You’ll Do

• Greet customers and provide friendly, helpful service
• Operate the register and process sales transactions accurately
• Help open, close, and balance the register as assigned
• Restock merchandise and keep displays neat and easy to shop
• Help sort, prepare, and move merchandise to the sales floor
• Keep the store clean, safe, and organized
• Work with team members to support daily sales and production goals

What You Need

• Ability to provide friendly customer service
