The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Clive, IA is seeking a part-time Retail Associate to support daily store operations. The role involves processing sales, assisting donors, and maintaining a clean shopping and donation experience.

Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma, strong English communication, basic math, and reliable cash handling. The position requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, with opportunities to work across multiple store areas.

Qualifications

• Ability to speak, write, and understand English for effective communication with customers and staff.
• Basic computer skills including POS system and other programs used by TSA ARC.
• Cash handling accuracy and following cash procedures.
• Ability to follow written or verbal instructions and perform basic math.
• Ability to work in multiple store areas (sales floor, donation receiving, pricing, stocking).

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service on the sales floor and donation areas.
• Accurately process sales transactions and manage cash drawer.
• Assist donors with donations and provide receipts.
• Maintain clean, organized store and donation areas.
• Move and price donated merchandise per production goals.
• Support opening/closing procedures and safety policies.
