Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Holland, MI is seeking a friendly Retail Associate to provide great customer service, keep the store organized, process and accept donations, and help create a welcoming shopping experience.

You’ll operate the POS system, handle cash, follow cash handling policies, assist donors, price and stock donated merchandise, and support store production goals.

Training provided; flexible schedule including evenings and weekends; equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Maintain reliability with attendance and punctuality.
• Demonstrate basic math and computer skills for daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service on the sales floor, at the donation area, and during all store activities.
• Operate the Point-of-Sale system accurately and manage cash drawer.
• Assist donors with donations and provide receipts, following center policy.
• Sort, tag, price, and prepare donated merchandise per production goals.
• Stock, clean, and organize the sales floor and donation areas to ensure a safe, welcoming environment.
