Job summary

The District Council of Madison, Inc., Society of St. Vincent de Paul in Stoughton thrift store is seeking a full-time, non-exempt team member starting at $24.04 per hour.

You will help manage day-to-day operations, deliver excellent service to customers, donors and clients, and support a compassionate work environment. You’ll supervise and coach staff, handle cash, merchandising, scheduling and safety, and collaborate with the Store Manager on HR tasks and policy implementation.

Qualifications

• Experience with Counterpoint or a similar POS system, Windows OS, MS Office and typing 55 words per minute.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in training, supervising and coaching store personnel and enforce store policies.
• Make disciplinary recommendations to the Store Manager.
• Manage merchandising, stocking and rotation of thrift store items.
• Maintain cash handling and point-of-sale procedures.
• Plan and manage projects with the Store Manager.
• Support staffing and hiring recommendations.
• Promote safety and ensure compliance with codes.
