WNCSource in Brevard, NC is seeking a Part-Time Thrift Store Manager to lead daily store operations, oversee donations, and build community partnerships. You will motivate and train volunteers, manage inventory and pricing, and help grow our online store to boost support for local programs.

Ideal candidates have retail or customer-service experience, are comfortable lifting up to 25 pounds, and can obtain AED certification within 3 months.

If you bring strong retail management skills, love building relationships, and excel at managing volunteers, this is your chance to make a huge impact! You will oversee daily operations, grow donations, build our online presence, and turn donated goods into vital support for WNCSource programs.

What You Will Do (And Love!)

Lead Daily Operations: Manage the day-to-day running of the thrift store, ensuring a clean, safe, and beautifully organized shopping environment.

Empower Volunteers: Recruit, train, schedule, and mentor a team of volunteers.

Drive Sales & Merchandising: Coordinate merchandise flow—sorting, sanitizing, pricing, and restocking—while auditing sales racks and staying updated on local pricing for clothing, antiques, and housewares.

Expand Our Reach: Assist in building an online store for premium items and grow our social media presence to boost sales and volunteer interest.

Community Relations: Cultivate strong local partnerships to increase community awareness and keep donation levels high.

Financial Oversight: Manage register balances, ensure daily sales tally accurately with Square reports, and maintain proper cash drawers.

Education & Qualifications

2-Years Minimum experience retail/customer service and volunteer management.

Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds

Must obtain AED Certification within 3 months of being hired
