Job Summary

Our associates at Red, White, and Blue Thrift perform a range of tasks essential to our retail operations. These positions require attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The roles are full-time, with medical benefits available after 90 days of employment. Below are brief descriptions of our positions.

Position Details

• Facilities Associates: Unloading/loading trailers, operating a trash compactor, baling machine, and janitorial duties. This is a labor-intensive role.
• Production Associates: Pre-sorting donations, sorting, pricing, hanging, tagging, attaching sensors, and distributing merchandise to the floor.
• Sales Floor Associates: Cashier, Sales Floor, and Donation Center Attendant roles.
• Other positions include: Box Truck Driver, Dispatcher, and Supervisor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Preferred but not required: Experience in thrift, retail, warehouse, back of house, or customer-facing roles

Physical Requirements

• Ability to safely perform job functions, including meeting productivity standards
• Physical strength to lift 40-70 lbs occasionally, and exert force up to 25 lbs frequently
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Manual dexterity and fine motor skills for handling objects and performing repetitive motions
• Balance and agility for maintaining stability and performing agile tasks
• Visual acuity at 20 inches or less and 20 feet or more
• Ability to thrive in a noisy, brightly lit, and fast-paced environment
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with customers, donors, and coworkers
• Flexibility to switch tasks or departments as needed

Language Requirements

• Basic understanding of written and spoken English may be necessary for communication and understanding instructions
