Job summary

Miracle Hill Ministries, Inc. is seeking a thrift associate to efficiently receive, process, price, and sell donated goods in our SC stores. You will support the sales floor, fitting room, cash register, and back-of-house processing as needed by the supervisor.

Primary duties include courteous donation intake, accurate pricing, timely preparation of merchandise, and providing an exceptional customer experience while maintaining store standards.

Qualifications

• Goal Oriented: Work with a sense of urgency, striving for efficiency that consistently meets production goals.
• Organized: Maintain a neat, clean, and organized workspace that is safe, easy and enjoyable to work in.
• Self-Motivated: Ability and desire to become more proficient and efficient in meeting and exceeding daily production goals. General knowledge of the value of household items is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive donations in a courteous and professional manner from donors and truck drivers.
• Ensure all donated goods are properly sorted, priced, and staged for sale in a timely manner.
• Work with a sense of urgency to consistently meet production goals while ensuring quality.
• Assist truck drivers and customers in loading and unloading of donated goods.
• Prepare and rotate crates in and out of processing areas to ensure efficiency of production.
• Greet and treat all customers and donors with respect, fostering an exceptional experience.
• Ring up sales transactions and maintain cash register with integrity and accuracy.
• Answer phones and make store announcements in a professional and courteous manner.
• Maintain work areas and store appearance in a neat, clean, and organized condition at all times.
• Follow all safety procedures and report safety hazards and accidents immediately to supervisor.
• Operate pallet jack and/or forklift (if certified) in a safe and proper manner.
• Share the good news of Jesus Christ, give a personal testimony and pray with/for those served by the ministry.
• Perform other duties assigned by store manager and supervisor.
