Job summary

Miracle Hill Ministries in Greenville, SC seeks a thrift associate to receive, process, price and sell donated goods on the sales floor and in back-of-house operations.

You will greet donors and customers, ring up sales, maintain a neat store, follow safety rules, and help meet production goals with a sense of urgency. Physical duties include lifting up to 35 pounds and operating pallet jack; forklift certification may be required. You will share in our mission to serve the community.

Qualifications

• Organized: Maintain a neat, clean, and organized workspace that is safe, easy and enjoyable to work in.
• Self-Motivated: Ability and desire to become more proficient and efficient in meeting and exceeding daily production goals. General knowledge of the value of household items is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive donations in a courteous and professional manner from donors and truck drivers.
• Ensure all donated goods are properly sorted, priced, and staged for sale in a timely manner.
• Ring up sales transactions and maintain cash register with integrity and accuracy.
• Operate pallet jack and/or forklift (if certified) in a safe and proper manner.
• Follow safety procedures and report hazards immediately to supervisor.
