Job Summary

Our associates at Red, White, and Blue Thrift perform a range of tasks essential to our retail operations. These positions require attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The roles are full-time, with medical benefits available after 90 days of employment. Brief descriptions of our positions are outlined below.

Positions and Responsibilities

Facilities Associates

Tasks include unloading/loading trailers, operating a trash compactor, operating a baling machine, and janitorial duties. This position is labor-intensive.

Production Associates

Tasks include pre-sorting donations, sorting, pricing, hanging, tagging, attaching sensors, and distributing merchandise to the sales floor.

Sales Floor Associates

Roles include cashier, sales floor attendant, and donation center attendant.

Other Positions

Additional roles include box truck driver, dispatcher, and supervisor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in thrift, retail, warehouse, back-of-house, or customer-facing roles is preferred but not required

Physical Requirements

• Ability to safely perform job functions, including meeting productivity standards
• Physical strength to lift and carry 40-70 lbs occasionally, and exert force up to 25 lbs frequently
• Endurance to stand for extended periods
• Manual dexterity and fine motor skills for repetitive tasks
• Balance and agility for maintaining body equilibrium
• Visual acuity at 20 inches or less and 20 feet or more
• Ability to work in a dynamic, noisy, and brightly lit environment
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interactions with customers, donors, and colleagues
• Flexibility to switch tasks or departments as needed

Language Requirements

Basic understanding and communication in English are necessary for interactions with customers, donors, colleagues, and supervisors.
