Our associates at Red, White, and Blue Thrift perform a range of tasks and processes essential to our retail operations. These positions require attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The roles are full-time, and medical benefits become available after 90 days of employment. Brief descriptions of our positions can be found below.
Our Facilities Associates may be assigned to the following tasks:
- Unloading and loading trailers
- Operating a trash compactor
- Operating a baling machine
- Janitorial duties
The Facilities Associate position is labor intensive.
Our Production Associates may be assigned to the following tasks:
- Pre-sorting donations
- Sorting, pricing, hanging, tagging, attaching sensors
- Distributing merchandise to the floor
Our Sales Floor Associates may be assigned to the following roles:
- Cashier
- Sales Floor Attendant
- Donation Center Attendant
Other available positions include:
- Box Truck Driver
- Dispatcher
- Supervisor
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous thrift, retail, warehouse, back of house, or customer-facing experience is preferred but not required
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform job functions safely and effectively in accordance with applicable standards, including meeting productivity requirements
- Physical strength to lift and carry up to 70 lbs occasionally and exert force up to 25 lbs frequently
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Manual dexterity for repetitive motions and fine motor tasks
- Balance and agility for maintaining body equilibrium and performing agile tasks
- Visual acuity for clear vision at various distances
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, noisy, and brightly lit environment
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with others
- Flexibility to switch tasks and departments as needed
Language Requirements
- Fundamental understanding of written and spoken English for instructions and communication, though not exclusively required
