Job summary

Hospice of the East Bay is seeking a friendly Retail Thrift Shoppe team member in Pleasant Hill, CA. You will process sales, balance cash, assist donors and shoppers, and help maintain an inviting shop atmosphere.

The role supports the hospice mission, requires strong interpersonal skills, and involves light lifting. Prior retail or cashier experience is desirable and company benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous retail, sales and/or cashiering experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Processing sales and register transactions with accuracy
• Supporting merchandising and maintaining an inviting store atmosphere
• Assisting with donation intake and processing
• Vacuums and cleans Shoppe as needed.
• Maintains availability to help customers as well as to deter shoplifting.
• Attends meetings as needed.
• Explains the Hospice mission to donors and shoppers when asked.
• Performs other duties as needed.
