Job summary

Harbor View Creative Learning Center is seeking a Pre-K Teacher with a qualifying letter to join our team in educating four-year-olds. The role includes shared responsibilities in our four year old classroom and ongoing collaboration with fellow educators.

Applicants should have experience in licensed childcare, a NC qualifying letter, TB test, and physical. Strong communication and safety adherence are essential to support children's social development and learning.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a licensed childcare facility.
• Qualifying letter required before applying.
• TB test and a physical are required.
• Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Excellent communication and instructional skills.
• Ability to mediate between children.
• Friendly, reliable, and cool-tempered.
• CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work together to develop a fun and creative lesson plan suitable for children between 4-5 year olds.
• Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, etc.) to teach children
• Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem
• Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments
• Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers, colors, art, etc...).
• Track children's progress and report to parents (Tadpole's app)
• Communicate with parents regularly to understand the children's background
• Collaborate with other educators.
• Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards.

Harbor View Creative Learning Center is looking for a Pre-K Teacher with a qualifying letter to join our team! This position would be with shared responsibilities in our four year old classroom.

** You will need a North Carolina qualifying letter, a recent TB test, and a physical.

Benefits:

• All Employees will accrue Personal Time and PTO hours do not expire and can roll over to the following year.
• Sick Pay will be accrued for a maximum of 48 hours, applied to each employee's policy, and paid out for absences due to illness each calendar year. Sick pay hours do not expire and can roll over to the following year.
