Job summary

Harbor View Creative Learning Center in Matthews, NC is seeking a Toddler Teacher. You will design engaging, age-appropriate lessons, guide toddlers' early development, and collaborate with staff to create a safe, stimulating classroom environment.

You will be supported to obtain your CDA and must meet NC health and safety requirements, including a qualifying letter before starting. This is a full-time, on-site position with opportunities for growth and continuous professional development.

Qualifications

• Experience in a licensed childcare facility.
• Qualifying letter required before first day.
• TB test and physical required before start.

Responsibilities

• Develop fun, creative lesson plans for toddlers.
• Use diverse educational activities to teach and engage children.
• Observe children to support social skills and self-esteem.
• Encourage positive peer interactions and conflict resolution.
• Guide development through a structured curriculum (shapes, numbers, colors, art).
• Track progress and report to parents via Tadpole's app.
• Assist with potty training and communicate with families about backgrounds.
• Collaborate with educators and maintain a clean, safe classroom.

Harbor View Creative Learning Center in Matthews is looking for a Toddler Teacher to join our team!

Before your first day, you will need a North Carolina qualifying letter, a recent TB test, and a physical.

Benefits:

• All Employees will accrue Personal Time and PTO hours do not expire and can roll over to the following year.
• Sick Pay will be accrued for a maximum of 48 hours, applied to each employee's policy, and paid out for absences due to illness each calendar year. Sick pay hours do not expire and can roll over to the following year.

Responsibilities:

• Develop a fun and creative lesson plan suitable for children in your care
• Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, etc.) to teach children.
• Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem.
• Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments.
• Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers, colors, art, etc...).
• Track children's progress and report to parents (Tadpole's app)
• Helping children with potty training
• Communicate with parents regularly to understand the children's background
• Collaborate with other educators.
• Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards.

Desired Candidate

• Experience working in a licensed childcare facility
