The Goddard School of Fuquay-Varina, NC is seeking a dedicated preschool teacher to deliver STEAM-based curriculum and foster a love of learning in a safe, inclusive classroom. Applicants should have 1–2 years of experience with young children and be able to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.

Qualifications

• Some courses completed in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• Not required—NCECC credentials, or Equivalent.
• 1–2 years of previous experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children.

• Curriculum and Instruction: STEAM based innovative curriculum, Wonder Of Learning lesson plans are already prepared and very easy to use, and fun.
• Foster a love of learning through creative and engaging teaching methods.
• Classroom Management: Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment, manage daily routines and transitions smoothly.
• Health and Safety: Ensure cleanliness and orderliness, supervise children during activities to ensure safety.
• Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development and stay current with best practices.

Teacher Key Responsibilities

1. Curriculum and Instruction
   • STEAM based innovative curriculum, Wonder Of Learning lesson plans are already prepared and very easy to use, and fun

   • Activities are adjustable to the interest and needs of the children
2. Classroom Management
   • Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
   • Manage daily routines and transitions smoothly
   • Address behavioral issues with positive guidance and support
3. Health and Safety
   • Ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of the classroom and common areas
   • Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and procedures
   • Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities to ensure their safety and well-being
4. Professional Development
   • Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities
   • Stay current with best practices in early childhood education
   • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to share ideas and strategies
