Job summary

EchoStar is seeking a senior security leader to manage a multi-tier Threat Response team responsible for detecting and mitigating cyber incidents across SIEM, SOAR, UEBA, and EDR platforms. You will lead incident investigations, coordinate with Information Security leadership, and drive continuous improvement across the SOC.

The role requires 5+ years in Information Security, a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and strong cross-functional communication skills to translate complex findings for

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required.
• 5+ years of Information Security experience is required.
• Experience leading security operations teams in CIRT/CSIRT/SOC environments.
• Must have security monitoring and response tech experience (SIEM, SOAR, UEBA, EDR, IDS/IPS).
• Knowledge of threat intelligence and cyber investigations is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multi-tiered Threat Response team to detect, analyze, and respond to cyber security incidents.
• Enhance threat detection capabilities and reduce incident response times.
• Coordinate incident response plans with handlers and Information Security leadership.
• Provide regular operational reports to leadership.
• Mentor and train team members to foster continuous improvement.
