Job summary

WaveStrong, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Lead Incident Response / Supervisor Level 5 to protect enterprise systems, data, and networks.

You will lead complex security initiatives, guide cross-functional teams, and drive continuous improvement across cyber defense operations. The role requires 8+ years in security or IT, 2+ years in informal leadership, and 3+ years in incident management, threat research, and large-scale data analytics.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Cyber Security, IT, or related fields.
• 2+ years in informal leadership with project or technical teams.
• 3+ years of IT incident management, including remediation plans.
• 3+ years in large-scale cyber security data analytics, including data-driven threat collection opportunities.
• 3+ years researching, developing, and implementing data-driven threat detection capabilities.
• 3+ years in cyber security threat research or large-scale data analytics.
• Leads the investigation and triage of security events across multiple domains.
• Leads complex data analyses in support of security event management processes, including root cause analysis and coordinating response and remediation of high impact incidents.
• Leads the deployment of threat detection capabilities and incident response plans which may include after-hours support and coordination among responsible teams.
• Drives the execution of incident detection and handling processes including containment, protection, and remediation activities.
• Communicates investigative findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Contribute to threat detection, incident response, and use-case development.
• Identify security gaps and recommend improvements to leadership.
• Mentor junior team members and collaborate across engineering and operations.
• Master's degree in related field.
• Security certification (Security+, CISSP, CISA).
