Job summary

DataDome is seeking a proactive threat researcher to provide tier 2/3 support and collaborate with data scientists to strengthen real-time detection across web properties. You will analyze billions of web events, create automation to uncover anomalies, and help refine our bot protection platform.

Ideal candidates have a security/data mindset, at least 2 years of relevant experience, Python scripting skills, and strong knowledge of network/web protocols.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field is required.
• At least 2 years in a similar role or environment.
• Familiar with Python, used for automation and detection tasks.
• Strong interest in data, security and automated attack mitigation.
• Expertise in network/web infrastructure: HTML, HTTP, CDN, DNS, IPv4/IPv6, cookies.
• Proficiency with MySQL/NoSQL/ElasticSearch database technologies.
• Experience with Kibana and real-time threat detection tooling.

Responsibilities

• Provide tier 2 and 3 support to customers.
• Join threat research team and collaborate with researchers and data scientists.
• Analyze large web traffic datasets to identify and block malicious activity.
• Contribute to detection enhancements by studying past attacks.
• Collaborate to challenge and optimize real-time detection engine capabilities.
• Create automations/scripts to detect outliers in global traffic.
• Identify potential attacks and add new alerts to the detection platform.
