Job summary

Amazon Cyber Threat Intelligence (ACTI) seeks a Senior Applied Scientist to pioneer AI/ML for cyber threat intelligence at scale. You will invent, deploy, and optimize systems that detect threats and accelerate analysts' work, including graph-based reasoning and LLM-powered workflows.

The role embeds within ACTI to establish the science agenda for AI-driven threat intelligence. You will work on ambitious problems and publish in top venues, while collaborating with engineers to ship

Qualifications

• PhD in engineering, technology, computer science, ML, or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant, broad research experience after PhD.
• Experience deploying AI/ML models into production with measurable impact.
• Experience in NLP/LLMs, graph neural networks, anomaly detection, DL, or probabilistic modeling.
• Software development skills.
• Publication record in top venues.

Responsibilities

• Invent scientifically-complex threat intelligence solutions and frameworks.
• Drive AI/ML research agenda within ACTI and secure leadership buy-in.
• Extend ML techniques for cybersecurity, including graph-based reasoning.
• Publish research in top-tier venues and contribute to Amazon's science community.
• Design and deploy production AI/ML systems at scale and mentor peers.
