Job summary

Delaware Nation Industries seeks a Security Risk Threat Specialist to identify, analyze, and mitigate threats to AFRL systems and networks. You will work with security professionals to develop strategies and protect against cyberattacks, while staying current with security trends and DoD posture assessments.

You will conduct threat assessments, analyze intelligence, and implement controls, contributing to DoD security programs and training. A Secret clearance or higher is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in systems security threat analysis in a DoD environment.
• Strong understanding of network security principles: firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs.
• Familiarity with NIST/ISO security frameworks.
• Experience with threat intelligence tools, malware analysis, and reverse engineering.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently or in a team.
• Excellent communication skills to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Preferred: DISA ACAS Best Practices Exam and ACAS Training Certificate.
• Active Secret clearance or above and Security+ (or 8 equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Conduct ongoing assessments to identify potential security threats.
• Analyze threat intelligence data to identify emerging threats and vulnerabilities.
• Develop and implement strategies to protect against cyberattacks, malware, and other threats.
• Collaborate with security professionals to design and implement controls, processes, and procedures.
• Participate in security incident response activities and investigations.
• Stay up-to-date with security trends and advise management on impact to the DoD's posture.
• Develop and deliver training for DoD personnel on security best practices.
• Update Risk Management Framework paperwork with change manager, ISSM, and operations.
