Job summary

DNI (Delaware Nation Industries) seeks a Security Risk Threat Specialist to identify, analyze, and mitigate threats to AFRL systems and networks. You will work with a team of security professionals to develop and implement strategies to protect against cyberattacks and other security threats.

The role requires staying current with security trends, conducting ongoing risk assessments, and coordinating RMF updates with change managers, ISSM, and operations teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in systems security threat analysis, preferably in a DoD environment.
• Strong understanding of network security principles and practices, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs.
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST and ISO.
• Experience with threat intelligence tools and techniques, including malware analysis and reverse engineering.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and in a team.
• Excellent communication skills; ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Preferred: DISA ACAS Best Practices Exam.
• ACAS Training Certificate.
• Active Secret clearance or above.
• Active Security+ (or 8 equivalent).

You will also be responsible for staying up-to-date with the latest security trends and technologies and for conducting ongoing assessments of the DoD's security posture.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze threat intelligence data to identify emerging threats and vulnerabilities
• Develop and implement strategies to protect against cyberattacks, malware, and other security threats
• Collaborate with other security professionals to design and implement security controls, processes, and procedures
• Participate in security incident response activities and investigations
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends and technologies and advise management on their potential impact on the DoD's security posture
• Develop and deliver training programs to educate DoD personnel on security best practices
• Update Risk Management Framework paperwork in coordination with change manager, ISSM, and Operation teams

Requirements

• Familiarity with industry-standard security frameworks, such as NIST and ISO
• Experience with threat intelligence tools and techniques, including malware analysis and reverse engineering
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
