Job summary

Abnormal Security is seeking a Threat Researcher to join our Threat Intelligence team. You will conduct original threat research into active campaigns, attacker behavior, and emerging email/identity attack techniques, and turn findings into actionable intelligence for various audiences.

You will synthesize inputs from multiple sources, tailor reports for practitioners, executives, and customers, and collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing to align content with customer needs.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of threat intelligence or related cybersecurity work.
• Ability to understand IOCs, TTPs, campaigns, and threat behavior.
• Experience producing security content for diverse audiences.
• Strong ability to synthesize technical data into clear assessments and narratives.
• Ability to present complex intel to customers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex threat intelligence investigations into campaigns, attacker behavior, TTPs, and emerging email/identity attack techniques.
• Use Abnormal's platform and external sources to develop intelligence assessments.
• Identify meaningful patterns and trends across threat activity.
• Synthesize intelligence into defensible assessments and tailored recommendations.
• Create a range of intelligence deliverables: threat briefs, analytical reports, customer content, webinars, and executive summaries.
• Engage customers and prospects with intelligence briefings, webinars, and tailored content.
• Collaborate with Threat Intelligence, Detection, Sales, Customer Success and Marketing; mentor P1/P2 analysts.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate research, while ensuring accuracy and sourcing quality.
