Job summary

Byte Systems, a VTG subsidiary, is seeking a Cyber Threat Hunter to proactively detect and mitigate threats within a large enterprise. You will focus on hypothesis-based threat hunting using HMM-4 and MITRE ATT&CK, collaborating with endpoint, network, threat intel, cloud, and data science teams to identify, analyze, and respond to threats.

The role requires experience as a cyber security analyst or incident responder, strong TTP mapping ability, and proficiency with SIEM/EDR tools and cloud

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years in cyber security related roles
• Experience mapping adversary TTPs to observed activities
• Proficiency with SIEM/EDR and cloud environments (AWS/Azure)

Responsibilities

• Conduct proactive threat hunting using HMM-4 and MITRE ATT&CK framework.
• Develop hypotheses for targeted threat hunts based on threat intel and data.
• Collaborate with teams to collect and analyze security event data from logs, alerts, and telemetry.
• Use tools to identify indicators of compromise and anomalies.
• Analyze threats, assess impact, and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Document investigations with objectives, progress, and remediation recommendations.
• Stay up to date with latest threats and defense techniques.
